THE INTEGRATED SELF CLINIC
Knowing you're safe and feeling safe are not always the same thing.
- You can understand the procedure.
- Trust your surgeon.
- Know that swelling and discomfort are expected.
Yet your mind can still react as though something is wrong.
Hypnotherapy allows us to work with the automatic responses that logic alone can’t always settle.
This is the gap my work is designed for.
Hypnotherapy allows us to work with automatic emotional and physiological responses that information and reassurance alone don’t always settle.
Hypnosis studied alongside surgical care.
SUPPORT THROUGH EACH STAGE
Support for every stage of your plastic surgery journey
Prepare before travel, feel supported around your procedure, and navigate early recovery with practical mind–body tools tailored to you.
PHASE 1
Surgical Readiness
Prepare your mind for the experience ahead.
- Anesthesia and pain anxiety
- Sleep and pre-surgery nerves
- Loss of control and worst-case thinking
- Second-guessing and recovery concerns
- Support if you’re doing this alone
We can begin online before you leave home, so you arrive already familiar with the tools and techniques we’ll use.
Once you’re in Mexico City, sessions can continue with me in person before your procedure and throughout your recovery stay.
PHASE 2
Early Recovery
Navigate the vulnerable first days and weeks.
- Discomfort, fatigue and difficulty resting
- Swelling and temporary changes
- “What have I done?” moments
- Checking, worrying and judging results too early.
Support can continue while you’re here. Depending on how you’re feeling, we can meet in person or online from your home, hotel or recovery accommodation.
PHASE 3
Adjustment & Integration
Let your internal experience catch up with the external change.
- Reconnecting with your changing body
- Self-image and expectations
- Other people’s attention and comments
- Integrating the change into your new sense of self.
You don’t have to end the work when you leave Mexico City. Sessions can continue online wherever you live as your swelling settles, your result evolves and you adjust to the change over time.
What we'll work together to achieve
The goal is to experience the whole process without letting fear control it.
Nervous but grounded
Surgery-day nerves don’t have to become panic.
Rest instead of research
Your mind can stop searching for certainty.
See swelling differently
Temporary doesn’t immediately become catastrophic.
Let recovery unfold
You don’t have to judge the outcome prematurely.
Feel more like yourself
Helping your mind-body connection feel familiar again.

Your surgeon and anesthesiologist are responsible for your medical care. If psychological assessment or psychotherapy is needed, that belongs with an appropriately licensed mental-health professional.
My role is different.
I work with people who may be entirely comfortable with their decision to have surgery, yet still find themselves struggling with the automatic reactions surrounding it.
Anxiety about anesthesia, loss of control, catastrophic thinking, difficulty resting, repeatedly checking their appearance, or feeling unsettled by the changes they see during recovery.
Clinical hypnotherapy allows us to work directly with those automatic responses rather than relying on reassurance alone.
In-person in Mexico City and online worldwide.

Deb and I worked together for about six months and she was instrumental in helping me build and lay the foundations for my new business. She coached me over my own personal hurdles and got (and kept) me on track. I like checking in with her annually just to stay fresh. She’s amazing.Posted on Google![]()

Been doing sessions with Deb for a couple years now and I have to say that when I take a step back and look at myself now compared to the past, the evidence of growth is tremendous. Everything seems like a small stepping stone until you have created a long trail. I’m happy to say that my trail is continuing to grow with the help of Debs guidance and standards for accountability. If you are on the cusp or even considering giving it a try, I highly recommend it!Posted on Google![]()

Deb is a kind, compassionate and caring person. She has a warm, open and supportive energy and this is strongly felt during a session with her. I’ve had multiple sessions with Deb and always left having had a thought provoking experience. Deb helped me navigate a period of change and overcome some social anxiety. I would highly recommend a session with Deb to help navigate some of life’s challenges.
